2012 VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

CONDITIONS OF VOLUNTEERING FOR ICE ON WHYTE Ice on Whyte is an outdoor festival that takes place in a variety of weather conditions. The average temperature in Edmonton for January ranges between highs of -8C to -19C. The festival has experience extreme temperatures from -43C to +12C.

It is imperative that volunteers arrive on site in weather appropriate attire including warm winter boots, coats, mittens or gloves, snow/ski pants and headgear. Any volunteer who does not dress for the weather will be sent home and not invited to the wrap up party.

Many high schools have wonderful community volunteer programs. Please be aware that letters of reference and confirmation of your volunteer support will only be provided if you fulfill all of your shifts.
