Positions

Ice Slide Marshals

There are 3 positions available for the ice slide. Slide volunteers should be comfortable politely asserting the rules of the slide. Safety rules will be provided at volunteer training.

• One Marshal at the Base of the Stairs

  Keep order at the bottom of the stairs, ensure that all sliders meet the minimum age requirement and explain the rules to the sliders.

• One Marshal at the Bottom of Slide

  Help sliders exit the slide area safely and ensure that no one climbs or plays on the slide structure.

• Three Marshal at the Top of the Slide

  Ensure that all sliders have a great experience on the slide and remind them of the slide safety rules.

Children's Play Area Marshal

Ensure the safety of all children playing in and around play area. Safer ways to play may be politely suggested to parents.

Site Maintenance

Keep the festival grounds neat and tidy, empty trash bins, keep the park safe and free of slippery areas, and provide festival information to visitors.

Park Roamers/Floaters

Fill any position as assigned by the volunteer coordinator, provide 15-minute breaks for volunteers; ensure general safety of visitors, site clean-up, and other duties as requested by the volunteer coordinator.

Gate Security

Ensure that no one enters the park through the exit. Gate security volunteers offer exiting visitors more information on the festival and the area, offer Holiday Card
