VOLUNTEER

The Ice on Whyte Festival takes place in Festival Park on 85 Avenue and 104 Street in Old Strathcona, January 13 – 23, 2011. Ice on Whyte needs dedicated, energetic volunteers to assist with the festival. Positions available include Gate Cashiers, Gate Security, Slide Marshals, Children's Play Area Marshals, Site Maintenance and L'il Chipper Public Art Program Assistants.

Volunteers receive complementary Van Houtte hot beverage breaks during their shifts and a fabulous bag of treats and gift certificates from local business in appreciation of service.

Volunteer safety is of outmost importance to us and it is essential that volunteers dress appropriately for outdoor winter weather. Check out United Cycle’s “It's Cool to be Warm” tips on staying warm in the winter.
