Ice On Whyte Festival Opens Today at 2!

This winter festival is a durn big deal! But don't just take it from me, Chainsaw Wally. Just ask all the folks from other countries around the world who are arrivin' in Edmonton and flockin' to Old Strathcona today.
Here's why: after a one-day delay due to weather conditions, the Ice On Whyte Festival starts this afternoon at 2. And it's a beautiful winter day out there. (It even snowed a bit overnight!)
This weekend only, January 13 to 15, at the festival grounds on Gateway BLVD and Tommy Banks Way, don't miss the International Ice Carving Competition. It features teams from: China; Republic of Sakha, Russia; Latvia and the US; Isle of Man and Great Britain; the Netherlands; Ontario; Alberta and BC; Canada and Mexico.
