Spectacular plans for 10-year anniversary call for more people in variety of great roles
Edmonton (December 6, 2012) - Ice on Whyte is now welcoming interest and registration from those wishing to join the festival event team. Volunteers have been helping carve out memories for event guests since the first day. Ice on Whyte is celebrating ten proud years by planning more ice and snow sculptures, more live demonstrations, more entertainment and more fun. All these areas will require the energy and spirit of our dynamic volunteer team.
Positions available have clearly outlined job descriptions to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and confident while contributing to Ice on Whyte. Three-and-a-half hour shifts are offered during the weekdays, evenings and weekends. We ask that that all volunteers keep in mind that Ice on Whyte is an outdoor festival and dress appropriately for the weather.

The competition is followed by seven more days of outdoor festival fun including new ice and snow carvings created by two artists in residence, giant ice slide, children’s area, music, fashion, food, hot beverages and culturally themed days. Ice on Whyte was awarded the ‘Alberta Pride’ ALTO award in 2012 by Travel Alberta.
