Ice on Whyte is please to offer a variety of school programs for students of the Edmonton area. All three types of school programs are described in detail below. We invite you to sign-up, as pre-registration is required for all programs. Register online below, spaces fill up quickly, so don’t miss out!

L’il Chipper School Program

The Ice on Whyte Festival is pleased to present the L’il Chipper ice carving lessons for school groups. In this program, students get a hands-on ice carving lesson and are also encouraged to enjoy the interactive outdoor play area.

The Children’s Program Igloo will have a set area for students to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and the snacks or lunches that they bring along. Hot chocolate is available by donation.

Date & Time: January 26, 27, 28 and 30 between 10 am and 2 pm

Art in Action School Program

The Ice on Whyte Festival is pleased to present the Art in Action program for school groups. In this program, students are encouraged to enjoy the interactive outdoor play area and then gather around a festival artist for an ice carving demonstration. The artist provides a descriptive dialogue as they work and is happy to answer student’s questions about the artistic process.

The Children’s Program Igloo will have a set area for students to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and the snacks or lunches that they bring along. Hot chocolate is available by donation.

‘NSTEP School Program

The Ice on Whyte Festival is pleased to partner with ‘NSTEP to provide a healthy snack and lesson for school groups. In this program, students get a short lesson on healthy eating and living plus a FREE deliciously healthy snack.

The ‘NSTEP Healthy Snack program will take place in the YESS Café. Hot chocolate is available by donation.
