The Ice on Whyte Festival is excited to accept new and returning volunteers to the 2018 festival! The Ice on Whyte Festival is a great opportunity for you to get involved in your community, meet new people, and be part of an exceptional team!
In 2017, 108 fantastic volunteers contributed over 2,600 hours of service that helped to make last year such a success! We look forward to hearing from you and having you as a part of our 2018 Festival Team!
As part of the Ice on Whyte Festival team, volunteers will enjoy the outdoors and a fun-filled, rewarding, learning experience.
Volunteer duties are assigned upon arrival to the festival. Refreshment and warming breaks, complete with hot chocolate and a snack, are provided for each shift. If it is a cold day, hand warmers will keep you cozy to help volunteers enjoy their experience.
Volunteers who complete all of their scheduled shifts are invited to the wrap-up-party complete with drinks, snacks, games, and prizes. So, make sure you complete all of your shifts, enjoy the wrap-up party and be appreciated!
Volunteer shifts for Ice On Whyte are four (4) hours long and the festival asks that you commit to a minimum of 5 shifts (20 hours).
We are happy to accept new volunteers! While experience is an asset, we are pleased to provide pre-festival training and on-site support.
Of course! The Ice on Whyte Festival is proud of the cultural diversity of the City of Edmonton and encourages volunteers from all backgrounds to interact with visitors.
Volunteer Registration opens October 15!
In order to ensure the safety of visitors, volunteer opportunities are designed for individuals that are 16 years of age and older. If you are between the ages of 14- 16 years of age, please contact us to arrange for parental permission.
