2021 Sculpture Tour
Join us for a self-guided ice sculpture tour located on some of YEG’s winter patios.
Boardwalk Ice On Whyte is excited to accept new and returning volunteers in 2020! Boardwalk Ice On Whyte is a great opportunity for you to get involved in your community, meet new people, and be part of an exceptional team!
In 2019, 100 fantastic volunteers contributed over 1500 hours of service that helped to make last year such a success! We look forward to hearing from you and having you as a part of our 2020 Volunteer Team!
As part of the Boardwalk Ice on Whyte team, volunteers will enjoy the outdoors and a fun-filled, rewarding, learning experience.
Volunteer duties are assigned upon arrival to the event. Refreshment and warming breaks, complete with hot chocolate and a snack, are provided for each shift. If it is a cold day, hand warmers will keep you cozy to help volunteers enjoy their experience.
After completing your shifts, you receive the opportunity to receive a signed reference letter or verbal reference regarding your role on site.
Volunteer shifts for Boardwalk Ice On Whyte are four (4) hours – six (6) hours long and ask for a commitment of 3 shifts. However, shift times are subject to change.
We are happy to accept new volunteers! While experience is an asset, we are pleased to provide pre-festival training and on-site support.
Of course! The Ice on Whyte Festival Society is proud of the cultural diversity of the City of Edmonton and encourages volunteers from all backgrounds to interact with visitors.
We are currently accepting applications. You will receive a notification when shifts are available for sign up.
In order to ensure the safety of visitors, volunteer opportunities are designed for individuals that are 16 years of age and older. If you are between the ages of 14- 16 years of age, please contact us to arrange for parental permission.
If you are unable to volunteer or need to cancel a shift, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com 24 hours in advance. We will reschedule you for another date and time if possible.
The real fun starts when temperatures drop below zero.
